Secrets Revealed

Ashley slowly climbed up the staircase as carefully as she could. She heard the phone in her bedroom start to ring, but she didn't rush to answer it. She knew it was Taylor, and she was just not ready to talk to him yet.

By the time she reached her room, the phone had stopped ringing. She laid down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. she felt as if the room was spinning around her. "What's happening to me?" she asked her said aloud. She felt bad ofr not tlking to Taylor, but something was holding her back from picking up the phone.

Her eyes went to her nightstand to where a picture of her and Taylor was sitting. It was taken three years ago, right before they had left. His arms were around her waist, his chin resting gently on the top of her head. They were both smiling happily.

Dawn and Zac walked into the club. It was dark, smokey, and crowded with dancing teenagers.

Dawn leaned foreward so that he could hear her. "Zac," she started. "I don't think we can find an opening on the floor."

Zac laughed. "I think we can squeeze somewhere, babes." he looked around the room and found a small opening. He grabbed her hand and pulled her toward the corner.

They started dancing to the, rather annoying music. But nevertheless, they started having a good time.

Until Zac spotted someone who was far from welcome.

Taylor slammed down the phone. "Where the hell is she?" he demanded out loud.

"Taylor, watch your mouth, please. You may be eighteen now, but there are still children in this house who I for one do not want to expose them to trash talk." Diana said calmly.

"Sorry, mom." he mummbled. He slummbed down in the sofa. Maybe I should just go over there, he though. He got up and grabbed his car keys.

"Tay, where are you going?" his mom called after him. "I was hoping you'd help me with dinner."

"I'll be back before then. Or at least I'll try. I'm going to Ashley's. She's not answering her phone." and with out another word, he left and jumpped into his car, spedding down the road.

"Zac, what is it?" Dawn asked when she noticed the look on his face.

He pointed to the direction of the bar, where a slightly older guy was sitting, flirting with the waitress.

Dawn gasped. "It's Jamie."

Zac nodded. "Taylor told me what he did to her."

She looked over at him. "Did what to who?"

Zac's eyes widened. "She didn't tell you?"

She looked at him strangely. "Tell me what?"

Ashley closed her eyes and laid back on the couch. She felt nausous. Her mom tried to get her to eat something, but she had refused. She knew her mother was worried about her. But what could she tell her? "I'm fine, mom, really. My stomach is just killing me bacause I was a virgin and I had sex with Taylor for the first time?" Oh, she would love that one.

"Honey,"

She jerked up, startled out of her thoughts. "Yeah, mom?"

"Your father and I are going out for awhile. Do you want to go?"

She shook her head. "No thanks, Mom. I think I'll just watch TV for a while then go to bed."

Mrs. Smith nodded. "Okay. We won't be gone long."

"Okay mom. Have fun." she waved to her mom and laid back down, instantly falling asleep.

Taylor pulled into the Smith's driveway and turned the car off. The house was dark, but Ashley's car was still parked at the side of the house

He got out of his car and walked to the door, knocking three time. No answer.

Thinking she was asleep, he checked to see if the door was locked. The knob turned easily in his hand, and the door slowly opened.

He walked quietly inside and gently closed the door. He heard soft breathing coming from the living room. He walked over to the couch and smiled.

She was laying on her side, fast asleep.

Taylor walked around the front of the couch an knealed down, gently touching her face. "Ash," he whispered. He didn't wamt to wake her up, but he wanted to be with her. He needed to be. "Ashley, baby. Wake up."

Her eyes slowly opened. "Taylor? Wha-what are you doing here?"

He laughed. "And I thought you would be happy to see me." he smiled.

She didn't smile back. She sat up and pulled her blanket around her. "We need to talk."

The smile on his face slowly disappeared. "I've been calling all day and you didn't answer." he moved and sat down next to her.

"I know. I'm sorry. I've been asleep all day...and I wasn't ready to talk yet." She explained.

Taylor put his arm around her. "Is it because of what we did last night?"

Ashley shrugged. "I don't know. I guess."

He took her chin in his hand and kissed her gently. "Are you sorry you did it?"

She shook her head. "I'm not sorry, that I did it with you. I'm glad it was you. But I don't know Tay. I just feel weird. I don't know what it is. I just feel...different."

Dawn sat silently as she waited for Zac to finish telling her everything Taylor had told him, her anger growing intense.

"I can't believe she didn't tell you." Zac shook his head.

Dawn didn't respond. She stood up and started to push her way through the crowed of people towards Jamie. She heard Zac calling to her, but she ignore him. She finally reached the counter and stood in front of him.

"Oh, hey Dawn. Where's your sis-"

She cut him short by slapping him, hard, in the face.

"Jesus! What the fuck is wrong with you?" Jamie yelled at her.

"You know what the fuck is wrong with me!" She screamed back.

People had started to gather around them, but moving away, making a wide circle around them.

Jamie got off his stool and loomed over her. "Look here girl. I don't know what in God's name you are yelling about, but I suggest you shut your mouth before I do us all a favor and shut it for you."

Zac came up behind Dawn. "Like hell you will."

"Well, look who it is. It's the littlest Hanson sister. Where are your lesbian sisters at? At home fucking each other?"

Zac's teeth glenched together in anger. Before he could stop himself, he felt his fists collied with Jamie's jaw.

The next thing he knew, Zac was being escorded out of the club into the cool night air.
